Peter S. Young
is a leading practitioner
and writer in the Social Security field. He is a presenter of the popular Ninth Circuit
annual seminar for experienced advocates, frequent lecturer at NOSSCR conferences,
webmaster for the NOSSCR internet site, and universally respected by his peers.
Peter brings a detailed understanding of SSA
programs to his writing. From 1975 to 1981 he worked for the Office of Hearings and
Appeals, finishing his SSA career as the Senior Staff Attorney in the OHA western regional

Robert C. Dawes is a private practitioner
with the firm Dawes and Harriss, P.C. of Durango, Colorado. He has more than 25 years
experience and is an active member of NOSSCR, Workers Compensation Education Association
and many local and state bar and trial lawyer associations. He has been the publisher for
the last seven years of Electronic Text Retrieval System, Inc., specializing in legal
research materials in electronic format. He has presented many seminars in the areas of
Social Security law and Workers' Compensation law.

J. Kevin Morton
is a 1979 graduate of Davidson College. Mr. Morton studied law at the UNC
School of Law. He opened his law practice in Winston-Salem in 1985. For
nineteen years, he has represented people with disabilities before the
Social Security Administration, in the Federal District Courts and the
Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Morton has been a DRC certified
mediator since 1992 and has mediated numerous Workers' Compensation cases.
He is a member of the National
Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR) and the
North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers (NCATL). He is an elder at Redeemer
Presbyterian Church, serves on the Board of Redeemer School, and builds
custom furniture when deadlines approach. He is married and has two
children.
