Raymond S. DiRaddo is a managing partner of Burgess, DiRaddo, Nier & Case in Rochester, New York. Mr. DiRaddo is also General and Special Counsel for several fire departments and fire districts in the Rochester area.

Mr. DiRaddo also serves as Town Attorney for the Town of Greece, a town of over 90,000 people. He oversees a staff of three attorneys and several outside law firms representing the town. He is responsible, like fire attorneys, for the legal representation of the town in all contract, litigation, and compliance matters.

Mr. DiRaddo also is a Monroe County Legislator representing the 6th legislative district, an area comprising the Northern part of the City of Rochester and the Eastern part of the Town of Greece.

Mr. DiRaddo also served for five years as a Town Justice. There he was responsible for the administration of justice within the town of Greece on all matters within the jurisdiction of the New York Town Courts. This included arraignment and preliminary hearing jurisdiction of all original felony matters, and trial jurisdiction of all misdemeanors, traffic violations, small claims, and local ordinance violations occurring within the town of Greece. He was also the Vice-President of the Monroe County Magistrates Association.

Mr. DiRaddo speaks at the Western New York Fire District Officers’ Association Mini Conference. As a guest speaker at these annual meetings of Fire District Commissioners, he discusses timely legal and legislative issues affecting fire districts in New York State.

Mr. DiRaddo has also served as a Town of Greece Councilman; a member of the Town of Greece/Eastman Kodak Tax Negotiating Team; Chairman of the Local Industrial & Commercial Incentive Board; and an instructor for the Greece Central School District.

Mr. DiRaddo was honored with the Outstanding Men of America Award in 1982.

Mr. DiRaddo received his Juris Doctorate at the St. Louis University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, in May of 1977. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics in May of 1972 from the Saint John Fisher College in Rochester, New York.

Jerome N. Kornfeld is a former counsel to the Association of Fire Districts of the State of New York.
