Roberta G. Stanley received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pittsburgh magna cum laude in 1979 and her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University cum laude in 1983. She was a member and editor of the Nova Law Review. Ms. Stanley is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in the area of Marital and Family Law and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). She is a member of the Family Law Sections of The Florida Bar, the Broward County Bar Association and the American Bar Association. Ms. Stanley is on various committees with The Florida Bar and the AAML. Ms. Stanley limits her practice solely to the area of Marital and Family Law. She is a partner chairing the Family Law Department at Brinkley, McNerney, Morgan, Solomon & Tatum, LLP., Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She handles complex family law matters and has lectured and published various articles in the area of Family Law.

The prior edition was written by Cynthia L. Greene, a former chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar. She is Board Certified, and is a Fellow of AAML. She has been listed in every edition of Best Lawyers in America since 1983.
