Barry Boss is a member of Cozen O’Connor and the managing partner of the Washington, DC office. He concentrates his practice in complex criminal matters, focusing on white-collar crime. Mr. Boss served as Assistant Federal Public Defender in Washington, DC between 1995 and 2000. He is the former co-chair of the U.S. Sentencing Commission’s Practitioners’ Advisory Group. He is an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Law School, and has been a featured speaker at seminars around the country including the annual federal sentencing guidelines conference co-sponsored by the U.S. Sentencing Commission.


Edward F. Marek was the Federal Public Defender for the Northern District of Ohio from 1973 to 1994.  Prior to becoming Federal Public Defender, he served in the Department of Justice and as an assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. Mr. Marek was appointed by Chief Justice Rehnquist as a member of the Advisory Committee on the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure from 1987 to 1993.  He has taught evidence and criminal procedure as a member of the Adjunct Faculty of Cleveland-Marshall College of Law since 1972.  He is in private practice in Cleveland, Ohio.
