Gerald D. Martin, Ph.D., holds a doctorate in Finance and Statistics from Arizona State University. He is a Professor Emeritus in Finance at California State University, Fresno. He began his consulting service under the name Forensic Economic Services in 1974. He maintains an active and continuing practice, and has testified in both state and federal courts across the country. He has also served as court-appointed economist in several cases. Dr. Martin has written extensively and has lectured to a multitude of attorneys, judges, and economists on this subject. He is a research reviewer for both the Journal of Forensic Economics and the Journal of Legal Economics. He is a charter member of the National Association of Forensic Economists and the American Academy of Economic and Finance Experts. He served on the Consumer Advisory Committee to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners representing California and New Jersey for seven years. His work is equally divided between plaintiff and defense cases. He consults on approximately 300 cases each year. In 1995, Dr. Martin received the Certified Earnings Analyst designation from the American Rehabilitation Economics Association.
